About Us

Become aVolunteer!...make someone’s taxes less taxing

The Laredo Family Economic Success Coalition (LFESC) is a voluntary partnership of private and public organizations who are stakeholders in the economic development and financial well-being of the community. The Coalition includes representatives from the IRS along with public and private organizations working together to promote Federal tax benefits and help low to moderate income families with the following services: free income tax assistance(VITA), financial literature and education, asset building, and workforce development.

This past tax season volunteers from the Coalition at the Laredo VITA sites processed over 5700 tax returns and brought $11 million dollars into the Laredo economy.

Volunteers at all the Laredo VITA sites make a super effort to help taxpayers file their returns during the Jan-April tax filing season.

Please contact the Laredo Family Economic Success Coalition at (956) 307-8138.
