Longhorns Hope 3rd Time is the Charm

United will make school history by playing in their first Sweet 16 game Friday, but they want more and are hoping the 3rd time facing Judson this season is the charm.

United South wasted no time getting on the scoreboard Thursday night, plating three in opening inning and five more in the 2nd, on their way to a 2nd win on the day.

LBJ plated seven runs in the top of the 3rd inning to comeback on Veterans Memorial, only to see the Chargers score a pair in their half of the frame fro the win.

After a slow 1st half, United turns it on in early in the 2nd half as they score three unanswered goals to take the win over Nixon.

This weekend will bring 124 high school teams to the Gateway City as the local Border Olympics group hosts baseball, softball, tennis and golf tournaments.
