LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - For Rio Bravo residents, it’s been three races, three years, and now a $30,000 bill—just for this year’s election alone.

But will the third time be the charm? All this, to determine who will be their mayor.

It’s the cost of those races that are now being questioned.

In May, Rio Bravo could turn the page with a new mayor when Amanda Perez Aguero and Juan Carlos Garcia face off against each other in that election.

It all comes down to that one race, with two candidates, for the third time... all to determine the next four years—we hope.

Then, all the news out of Washington D.C.

President Biden addressed several topics during his third State of the Union, and after, catching heat from our local representative—in approving remarks.

Congressman Henry Cuellar could be seen and heard congratulating the president a few minutes after he finished.

But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The president was slammed on both sides, albeit for separate issues. Our panel discusses the State of the Union, the Republican rebuttal, November’s upcoming rematch between the 45th and 46th President of the United States, and more.
