Laredo woman hit by police car

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A Laredo woman was hit by a police car Saturday, June 8, around 11 p.m.

Reports say a Laredo police officer was driving south on the frontage road near Saunders and Loop 20 when the incident happened. The 19-year-old woman was walking on the road at the time.

She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer involved was tested for drugs and alcohol as per procedure.

The woman received a citation for jaywalking. The case is under investigation.
