LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Residents suffering from sinus problems or nasal conditions will soon have access to specialized treatment within their city. The Laredo Medical Center celebrated the grand reopening of its Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialty Department alongside the Laredo Chamber of Commerce and well-wishers.

Dr. Enrique Garcia, a Laredoan with over 30 years of experience serving Webb County, will lead the department. Garcia highlighted the significant need for such a specialty in Laredo, noting that many medical issues are related to the ears, nose, or throat.

“A good majority of the kinds of medical problems that people have involve ear, nose, and throat kinds of symptoms. Allergy problems, hearing problems, and then things that can be frankly life-threatening, like tumors and malignancies of the head and neck area. Because of kind of the world we live in, it’s sort of a dangerous place and bad things can happen to people,” said Dr. Garcia.

Dr. Garcia expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving the community through the newly reopened department.
