Man charged with raping child he met on Snapchat sheriff’s office says
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) - A 21-year-old man faces 19 charges after police say he raped a child he met on Snapchat.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Alexis Jovanny Leyva-Lopez met the victim on Snapchat and began an inappropriate relationship.
After convincing the victim to meet in person, Leyva-Lopez picked the child up on Christmas Eve and raped the child.
Leyva-Lopez is also accused of giving the child alcohol, marijuana and other intoxicants.
Before the end of December, the victim reported the assault to medical staff at a hospital, according to police.
Leyva-Lopez was arrested Monday. He is in custody at the Washington County Jail.
He has been indicted on the following charges: three counts of first-degree rape, three counts of second-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, three counts of second-degree sodomy, six counts of first-degree sexual abuse and strangulation.
