LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Children in Laredo can ride El Metro buses for free this summer through the “Kids on the Go” program.
From Monday, June 1 through Aug. 9, children ages 6 to 17 can ride El Metro buses at no cost. The program connects kids to summer camps, parks, libraries and pools.
Children under 12 must ride with an adult.
To ride free, kids must show the driver one of three IDs: a Parks and Recreation ID, a public library card or an El Metro Kids on the Go ID.
El Metro issues a program ID for $2 with a current school ID, report card or class schedule.
