LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police say a 15-year-old fled from officers after an alleged threat report.

Laredo police said officers responded to the 3700 block of Jesus Dimas Drive at 2:44 a.m. on Sept. 1 after receiving a report about the threat.

With aerial support from the Raven Unit, patrol officers found the vehicle police said was involved. Police said the vehicle fled the area as marked units approached.

The Raven Unit tracked the vehicle to a home in the 3600 block of Francisco Ramirez Drive, where police said two males got out of the vehicle and ran toward a house.

Officers found the two males hiding on the bed of a parked pickup and detained them without incident, police said. Police identified the driver as a 15-year-old male and the passenger as a 14-year-old male.

Police said an investigation found that a juvenile from the residence on Jesus Dimas Drive had started a confrontation through text messages with the males in the black vehicle. According to police, the juvenile’s father did not pursue criminal charges regarding the alleged threats.

The 15-year-old driver was detained and charged with evading arrest and reckless driving. He was taken to the Webb County Youth Village.
