LEBANON, N.H. (Gray News) – There have been at least three reported wild animal attacks in New Hampshire this week, according to police.

Officials with the Lebanon Police Department said witnesses described the animal as either a gray fox or a fisher. They also said the animal is unusually aggressive toward people.

Since officers with the police department have not personally seen the animal, they cannot confirm what kind it is.

They are working with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department regarding the attacks.

Officials said aggressive or unusual behavior in wild animals can be a sign of rabies.

Anyone who is bitten or scratched by a wild animal should immediately wash the area with soap and water and then go to the hospital for treatment.

All animal attacks, bites or scratches should also be reported to authorities.
