Pet of the Week: Meet Tillie!

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo Animal Care Services (LACS) is looking for a forever home for Tillie, a terrier-pit bull mix puppy.

Deidra Hernandez, public information specialist for LACS, said Tillie is about 3 to 4 months old.

Hernandez said Tillie is expected to grow to a medium or large size. Tillie is playful and energetic, as expected for a puppy, Hernandez said.

“She’s gonna want to chew on things. She’s gonna want to run around. So just as a reminder, when you do get a puppy, they do have a lot of energy,” Hernandez said.

Hernandez said Tillie has received her first vaccines and will need booster shots. Although Tillie is not yet old enough to be spayed, Hernandez said the shelter will provide that service as part of the adoption once she is old enough.

Hernandez said LACS continues to look for volunteers, adding that volunteers can sign up for shifts that count for double or triple volunteer hours.

Discounted adoptions

LACS is running a $10 adoption promotion for the month. Hernandez said the first 10 adopters this Saturday, Sept. 12, will receive free adoptions.
