‘Saved by the Bell’ star Dennis Haskins’ cause of death revealed

BURBANK, Calif. (CNN) - A cause of death has been released for Dennis Haskins, who was best known as Principal Belding on “Saved by the Bell.”

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health listed Parkinson’s as the 75-year-old actor’s immediate cause of death.

Haskins died Sept. 27, in Burbank, California.

He had been living in an assisted living facility and had not publicly disclosed his diagnosis.

Haskins played Principal Richard Belding throughout the original “Saved by the Bell” run and later reprised the role in “Saved by the Bell: The New Class.”

His career also included appearances on “Mad Men,” “Hot in Cleveland” and “New Girl.”
