Two men arrested in fatal crash that killed Laredo woman

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Two men are in jail nearly three months after a car crash that killed a 35-year-old woman.

The accident happened in June on Cuarto Vientos Road. The victim, Giovanna Ramirez, was hit from behind by 20-year-old Arnulfo Zepeda, who was driving a white Camaro. The crash pushed Ramirez’s car into oncoming traffic, where she was hit by a truck.

Ramirez was thrown from her car and run over by 21-year-old Jesus Alejandro Treviño. Treviño left the scene but dropped his grill and license plates, which helped police find him.

Both men face serious charges. Treviño is charged with Accident Involving Death, while Zepeda is charged with Manslaughter.
