LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Another case of alleged bullying and hazing results in the arrest of a United South High School student.

Oscar Eduardo Rodriguez is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a teammate on the school’s baseball team.

According to court documents, on January 30, United ISD Police received a report from the victim’s mother, alleging that Rodriguez had been bullying her son since August of last year.

The report states that the mother alleges the incidents happened during baseball practice and in one instance, Rodriguez allegedly slapped her son in the locker room shower.

UISD Police interviewed students from the baseball team, as well as the coaches, and while no evidence such as photos or videos were collected and they did not say Rodriguez had assaulted the student, Rodriguez was charged with assault and taken to the county jail.

He was booked and released on February 26.
