Congresswoman holds Q&A with local supporters during Gateway City stop
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jasmine Crockett made a campaign stop in Laredo, meeting with local supporters and holding a question-and-answer session with the community.
During the visit, Crockett provided an update on her bid for the U.S. Senate and spoke on immigration and border security.
“So yes, immigration and border security are two separate things,” Crockett said. “I do think we need to make sure there is going to be a pathway to citizenship, one that people are not confused about, something that is simple, something is transparent, that is real.”
Crockett is among the candidates seeking the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. John Cornyn, who is running for re-election.
