Texas man sentenced to 10 years for child sexual abuse material

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A Texas man will spend the next 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material.

Federal prosecutors say 25-year-old Estin Cole West was living in Laredo in November 2023 when investigators identified a Google account associated with him that included suspected material.

Through a forensic analysis of West’s phone, Homeland Security Investigations recovered more than 500 images and 700 videos depicting child pornography.

West was arrested in December 2024 and pleaded guilty in March 2025.
