Congressman Cuellar speaks out about gun control

Congressman Henry Cuellar is sharing what they have done so far when it comes to gun control.
Cuellar says after the Sutherland Springs tragedy he and others spoke with the secretary of the Air Force about the possibility of making changes to background checks.
In fact, he says from the few cases they have reported, they found 4,000 people with previous records trying to purchase guns and that information has been sent over to the FBI.
The congressman says they need to look more into background checks to make sure the violence ends.
Cuellar says, "You know, people are right. People who say thoughts and prayers, but we got to do a little bit more than just thoughts and prayers, we got to do something to protect our kids and our families.”
Cuellar says the House of Representatives has passed legislation on the ban of bump stocks and is waiting for the senate to come up with the necessary votes to pass that.
