Z-93’s Barrientos wins annual media jalapeño challenge

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Z-93’s Natanaehl Barrientos ate 34 jalapeños in five minutes to win this year’s WBCA Media Jalapeño Challenge at Sames Auto Arena.

The annual competition tested local media members to see who could consume the most jalapeños within the time limit.

KGNS Hola hosts and multi-media journalist Christian Del Rio participated in the competition and finished third place after eating 23 jalapeños. Heatwave served as timekeeper for the event.
