Agencies collaborate on DoubleTree Hotel fire investigation

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo Police Department, the Laredo Fire Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are collaborating on an ongoing investigation into a fire at the DoubleTree Hotel.

Officials said specialized drone equipment was received and deployed as part of the investigative effort to record and document evidence at the scene.

The footage will help investigators examine the incident and support the fire investigation, according to the Laredo Police Department.

All participating agencies remain committed to working together to gather evidence, follow investigative leads and determine the circumstances surrounding the fire.
