A man accused of being involved in an accident that claimed the lives of two people back in October is facing additional charges.

Police say 22-year-old Jose Angel Cisneros was served with an arrest warrant for accident involving personal injury/death a felony two count.

The incident happened on Thursday, October 11th of last year when authorities were called out to the 400 block of Santa Maria and Pace Street at around 11:30 a.m.

Authorities believe Cisneros was the driver of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck which was traveling west on Pace Street when he allegedly disregarded a stop sign and collided into a Kia Soul that was traveling north on Santa Maria.

After the accident, Cisneros along with Jose Antonio Martinez-Sauceda allegedly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

The driver of the Kia and the passenger, identified as Lydia Garcia Velarde and Ana Lee Soto were both transported to a local hospital where they later died as a result of their injuries.

Cisneros was already at the Webb County Jail for a separate charge.
